OSHA requires this course for workers at hazardous waste sites. The course includes classroom learning and realistic hands-on activities using respirators, protective clothing, and safety equipment. Upon completion, each worker receives a “40-Hour Card” that certifies the worker for 12 months, at which time OSHA requires a Refresher Course.
RegisterDOE requires this course for workers in areas with radiation exposure or radioactive contamination. The course includes classroom learning and realistic hands-on activities. Workers practice the use of anti-contamination clothing, respirators, monitoring equipment, and work in a simulated radiological area. Upon completion, each worker receives a “DOE Card” that certifies the worker for two years, after which time DOE requires the worker to take a refresher course.
RegisterOSHA requires this annual refresher course for hazardous waste workers. The course reviews the initial course, lessons learned from accidents, presenting new procedures, and regulatory changes. Upon completion, each worker receives an “8-Hour Refresher Card” that certifies the worker to continue hazardous waste work for 12 months.
RegisterThe DOT requires workers who handle, store, and transport hazardous materials to take hazmat awareness and security awareness training. The course fulfills the DOT hazmat awareness and security awareness requirements. This course teaches workers to recognize hazmat emergencies, recognize security threats, and initiate proper response procedures to protect themselves, co-workers, the workplace, and the community from contamination. Upon completion, each worker receives a card that certifies compliance with DOT training requirements. The card is valid for 3 years, after which time DOT requires workers to retake the training. The course targets warehouse workers, drivers who handle and transport hazmat, and port and rail workers who transport intermodal shipping containers.
RegisterMany contractors and jurisdictions require construction workers to take this course on OSHA standards, electrical safety, fall protection, and other topics chosen to match the job tasks of the workers attending the course. Upon completion, each worker receives an “OSHA 10-Hour Card” showing that the worker completed this course.
RegisterThis 8-Hour Forklift Safety Course provides workers with the training required to operate a variety of powered industrial trucks for moving, loading, unloading, stacking, staging, equipment and materials at hazardous waste clean-up sites, and DOE remediation projects. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR THE 8-HOUR FORKLIFT SAFETY COURSE MUST BE PROVIDED BY THE REQUESTING ORGANIZATION. ADDITIONALLY, WORKERS MUST BE EMPLOYED ON HAZMAT/HAZWASTE CLEANUP SITES.
RegisterThese awareness courses are intended to increase workers’ knowledge of hazards they may encounter on a job site related to the potential for occupational exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Training will emphasize what is a coronavirus, how is it spread, its symptoms, how to protect workers, and cleaning and disinfecting.
RegisterThis 8-Hour Load Securement Course provides workers with the training needed to safely secure loads for transportation on and off hazardous waste and construction sites. This course provides intensive hands-on training and demonstrations on the use of equipment and procedures.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR THE 8-HOUR LOAD SECUREMENT COURSE MUST BE PROVIDED BY THE REQUESTING ORGANIZATION. ADDITIONALLY, WORKERS MUST BE EMPLOYED ON HAZMAT/HAZWASTE CLEANUP SITES.
This course covers material required by OSHA standards and the DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations. The 24-Hour CER Course is designed specifically for workers involved in the rail transportation of hazardous materials. Upon completion of this course, each worker will be presented with a course completion card.
RegisterOSHA requires this course for warehouse and freight workers who respond to hazmat incidents in a manner beyond that allowed for awareness-trained workers. The course includes classroom learning and realistic hands-on defensive response techniques. Upon completion, each worker receives a card that certifies the worker as an Emergency Responder – operations level.
